If you see your brother’s ox or sheep straying, you must not ignore it; be sure to return it to your brother.2En as jou broer nie naby jou is nie, en jy ken hom nie, dan moet jy dit binne in jou huis versamel, en dit moet by jou wees totdat jou broer dit soek; dan moet jy dit aan hom terugbring.aOf: en jy ken dit nie. If your brother does not live near you, or if you do not know who he is, you are to take the animal home to remain with you until your brother comes seeking it; then you can return it to him.3So moet jy doen met sy donkie, en so moet jy doen met sy kleed, en so moet jy doen met elke verlore ding van jou broer wat van hom verlore raak en wat jy vind; jy kan jou nie daarvan onttrek nie. And you shall do the same for his donkey, his cloak, or anything your brother has lost and you have found. If you see your brother’s donkey or ox fallen on the road, you must not ignore it; you must help him lift it up.
5’n Man se uitrusting mag nie op ’n vrou wees nie, en ’n man mag nie ’n vrou se kleed aantrek nie, want elkeen wat hierdie dinge doen, is ’n gruwel vir die HERE jou God.aOf: kleding. A woman must not wear men’s clothing, and a man must not wear women’s clothing, for whoever does these things is detestable to the LORD your God.
If you come across a bird’s nest with chicks or eggs, either in a tree or on the ground along the road, and the mother is sitting on the chicks or eggs, you must not take the mother along with the young.7Jy moet die moeder sekerlik wegstuur, maar die jonges mag jy vir jou neem, sodat dit met jou goed gaan en jy jou dae verleng. You may take the young, but be sure to let the mother go, so that it may be well with you and that you may prolong your days.

22As ’n man gevind word terwyl hy met ’n vrou lê wat met ’n man getroud is, moet hulle albei sterf, die man wat met die vrou gelê het, en die vrou.
