8Loof die HERE, roep Sy naam aan, maak Sy dade onder die volke bekend.הוֹד֤וּ לַֽיהוָה֙ קִרְא֣וּ בִשְׁמ֔וֹ הוֹדִ֥יעוּ בָעַמִּ֖ים עֲלִילֹתָֽיו׃“Give thanks to the LORD; call upon His name; make known His deeds among the nations.9Sing vir Hom, maak vir Hom musiek, peins oor al Sy wonderwerke.שִׁ֤ירוּ לוֹ֙ זַמְּרוּ־ל֔וֹ שִׂ֖יחוּ בְּכָל־נִפְלְאֹתָֽיו׃Sing to Him, sing praises to Him; tell of all His wonders.10Roem in Sy heilige naam; laat die hart van dié wat die HERE soek, bly wees.הִֽתְהַֽלְלוּ֙ בְּשֵׁ֣ם קָדְשׁ֔וֹ יִשְׂמַ֕ח לֵ֖ב מְבַקְשֵׁ֥י יְהוָֽה׃Glory in His holy name; let the hearts of those who seek the LORD rejoice.11Vra na die HERE en Sy sterkte, soek Sy aangesig gedurig.דִּרְשׁ֤וּ יְהוָה֙ וְעֻזּ֔וֹ בַּקְּשׁ֥וּ פָנָ֖יו תָּמִֽיד׃Seek out the LORD and His strength; seek His face always.12Onthou Sy wonderwerke wat Hy gedoen het, Sy wonders en die oordele van Sy mond,זִכְר֗וּ נִפְלְאֹתָיו֙ אֲשֶׁ֣ר עָשָׂ֔ה מֹפְתָ֖יו וּמִשְׁפְּטֵי־פִֽיהוּ׃Remember the wonders He has done, His marvels, and the judgments He has pronounced,13nageslag van Israel, Sy kneg, kinders van Jakob, Sy uitverkorenes.זֶ֚רַע יִשְׂרָאֵ֣ל עַבְדּ֔וֹ בְּנֵ֥י יַעֲקֹ֖ב בְּחִירָֽיו׃O offspring of His servant Israel, O sons of Jacob, His chosen ones.14Hy is die HERE ons God; oor die hele aarde is sy oordele.ה֚וּא יְהוָ֣ה אֱלֹהֵ֔ינוּ בְּכָל־הָאָ֖רֶץ מִשְׁפָּטָֽיו׃He is the LORD our God; His judgments carry throughout the earth.15Onthou vir ewig Sy verbond, die woord wat Hy beveel het vir duisend geslagte,זִכְר֤וּ לְעוֹלָם֙ בְּרִית֔וֹ דָּבָ֥ר צִוָּ֖ה לְאֶ֥לֶף דּֽוֹר׃Remember His covenant forever, the word He ordained for a thousand generations—16wat Hy met Abraham gesluit het, en Sy eed aan Isak.אֲשֶׁ֤ר כָּרַת֙ אֶת־אַבְרָהָ֔ם וּשְׁבוּעָת֖וֹ לְיִצְחָֽק׃the covenant He made with Abraham, and the oath He swore to Isaac.17en Hy het dit vir Jakob as ’n insetting bevestig, vir Israel as ’n ewige verbond,וַיַּעֲמִידֶ֤הָ לְיַעֲקֹב֙ לְחֹ֔ק לְיִשְׂרָאֵ֖ל בְּרִ֥ית עוֹלָֽם׃He confirmed it to Jacob as a decree, to Israel as an everlasting covenant:18en gesê: “Aan jou sal Ek die land Kanaän gee as die deel van julle erfdeel,”aLetterlik: die meetsnoer van julle erfdeel.לֵאמֹ֗ר לְךָ֙ אֶתֵּ֣ן אֶֽרֶץ־כְּנָ֔עַן חֶ֖בֶל נַחֲלַתְכֶֽם׃‘I will give you the land of Canaan as the portion of your inheritance.’19toe julle min in getal was, baie min, en vreemdelinge daarin.aLetterlik: manne van getal.בִּֽהְיֽוֹתְכֶם֙ מְתֵ֣י מִסְפָּ֔ר כִּמְעַ֖ט וְגָרִ֥ים בָּֽהּ׃When they were few in number, few indeed, and strangers in the land,20het hulle rondgetrek van nasie tot nasie en van koninkryk na 'n ander volk.וַיִּֽתְהַלְּכוּ֙ מִגּ֣וֹי אֶל־גּ֔וֹי וּמִמַּמְלָכָ֖ה אֶל־עַ֥ם אַחֵֽר׃they wandered from nation to nation, from one kingdom to another.21Hy het niemand toegelaat om hulle te verdruk nie, en Hy het konings om hulle ontwil bestraf:לֹא־הִנִּ֤יחַ לְאִישׁ֙ לְעָשְׁקָ֔ם וַיּ֥וֹכַח עֲלֵיהֶ֖ם מְלָכִֽים׃He let no man oppress them; He rebuked kings on their behalf:22“Moenie aan my gesalfdes raak nie, en moenie my profete kwaad aandoen nie.”אַֽל־תִּגְּעוּ֙ בִּמְשִׁיחָ֔י וּבִנְבִיאַ֖י אַל־תָּרֵֽעוּ׃ פ‘Do not touch My anointed ones! Proclaim His salvation day after day.24Vertel onder die nasies sy heerlikheid, onder al die volke sy wonderdade.סַפְּר֤וּ בַגּוֹיִם֙ אֶת־כְּבוֹד֔וֹ בְּכָל־הָעַמִּ֖ים נִפְלְאֹתָֽיו׃Declare His glory among the nations, His wonders among all peoples.25Want groot is die HERE en baie geprys, en gevrees is Hy bo alle gode.כִּי֩ גָד֨וֹל יְהוָ֤ה וּמְהֻלָּל֙ מְאֹ֔ד וְנוֹרָ֥א ה֖וּא עַל־כָּל־אֱלֹהִֽים׃For great is the LORD, and greatly to be praised; He is to be feared above all gods.26Want al die gode van die volke is afgode, maar die HERE het die hemel gemaak.aOf: nietighede.כִּ֠י כָּל־אֱלֹהֵ֤י הָעַמִּים֙ אֱלִילִ֔ים וַיהוָ֖ה שָׁמַ֥יִם עָשָֽׂה׃For all the gods of the nations are idols, but it is the LORD who made the heavens.27Majesteit en prag is voor Sy aangesig, sterkte en blydskap is op Sy plek.ה֤וֹד וְהָדָר֙ לְפָנָ֔יו עֹ֥ז וְחֶדְוָ֖ה בִּמְקֹמֽוֹ׃Splendor and majesty are before Him; strength and joy fill His dwelling.28Gee aan die HERE, families van die volke, gee aan die HERE heerlikheid en sterkte.הָב֤וּ לַֽיהוָה֙ מִשְׁפְּח֣וֹת עַמִּ֔ים הָב֥וּ לַיהוָ֖ה כָּב֥וֹד וָעֹֽז׃Ascribe to the LORD, O families of the nations, ascribe to the LORD glory and strength.29Gee aan die HERE die heerlikheid van Sy naam; dra 'n graanoffer en kom voor Sy aangesig; buig neer voor die HERE in die prag van heiligheid.הָב֥וּ לַיהוָ֖ה כְּב֣וֹד שְׁמ֑וֹ שְׂא֤וּ מִנְחָה֙ וּבֹ֣אוּ לְפָנָ֔יו הִשְׁתַּחֲו֥וּ לַיהוָ֖ה בְּהַדְרַת־קֹֽדֶשׁ׃Ascribe to the LORD the glory due His name; bring an offering and come before Him. Worship the LORD in the splendor of His holiness;30Beef voor Sy aangesig, die hele aarde; ja, die wêreld is gevestig, dit sal nie wankel nie.חִ֤ילוּ מִלְּפָנָיו֙ כָּל־הָאָ֔רֶץ אַף־תִּכּ֥וֹן תֵּבֵ֖ל בַּל־תִּמּֽוֹט׃tremble before Him, all the earth. The world is firmly established; it cannot be moved.31Laat die hemel bly wees en die aarde juig, en laat hulle onder die nasies sê: “Die HERE regeer!”aOf: Die HERE het koning geword.יִשְׂמְח֤וּ הַשָּׁמַ֨יִם֙ וְתָגֵ֣ל הָאָ֔רֶץ וְיֹאמְר֥וּ בַגּוֹיִ֖ם יְהוָ֥ה מָלָֽךְ׃Let the heavens be glad, and the earth rejoice. Let them say among the nations, ‘The LORD reigns!’32Laat die see bruis en sy volheid, laat die veld juig en alles wat daarin is.יִרְעַ֤ם הַיָּם֙ וּמְלוֹא֔וֹ יַעֲלֹ֥ץ הַשָּׂדֶ֖ה וְכָל־אֲשֶׁר־בּֽוֹ׃Let the sea resound, and all that fills it; let the fields exult, and all that is in them.33Dan sal die bome van die woud jubelend sing voor die aangesig van die HERE, want Hy kom om die aarde te oordeel.אָ֥ז יְרַנְּנ֖וּ עֲצֵ֣י הַיָּ֑עַר מִלִּפְנֵ֣י יְהוָ֔ה כִּי־בָ֖א לִשְׁפּ֥וֹט אֶת־הָאָֽרֶץ׃Then the trees of the forest will sing for joy before the LORD, for He is coming to judge the earth.34Loof die HERE, want Hy is goed, want Sy troue liefde is vir ewig.הוֹד֤וּ לַיהוָה֙ כִּ֣י ט֔וֹב כִּ֥י לְעוֹלָ֖ם חַסְדּֽוֹ׃Give thanks to the LORD, for He is good; His loving devotion endures forever.35En sê: “Red ons, o God van ons redding, en versamel ons en bevry ons uit die nasies, om U heilige naam te loof, om te roem in U lof.”וְאִמְר֕וּ הוֹשִׁיעֵ֨נוּ֙ אֱלֹהֵ֣י יִשְׁעֵ֔נוּ וְקַבְּצֵ֥נוּ וְהַצִּילֵ֖נוּ מִן־הַגּוֹיִ֑ם לְהֹדוֹת֙ לְשֵׁ֣ם קָדְשֶׁ֔ךָ לְהִשְׁתַּבֵּ֖חַ בִּתְהִלָּתֶֽךָ׃Then cry out: ‘Save us, O God of our salvation; gather and deliver us from the nations, that we may give thanks to Your holy name, that we may glory in Your praise.’36Geloof sy die HERE, die God van Israel, van ewigheid tot ewigheid! 37En hy het daar voor die ark van die verbond van die HERE Asaf en sy broers gelaat om voortdurend voor die ark te dien, soos elke dag se werk dit vereis het,aLetterlik: volgens die saak van ’n dag op sy dag.וַיַּֽעֲזָב־שָׁ֗ם לִפְנֵי֙ אֲר֣וֹן בְּרִית־יְהוָ֔ה לְאָסָ֖ף וּלְאֶחָ֑יו לְשָׁרֵ֞ת לִפְנֵ֧י הָאָר֛וֹן תָּמִ֖יד לִדְבַר־י֥וֹם בְּיוֹמֽוֹ׃So David left Asaph and his associates there before the ark of the covenant of the LORD, to minister there regularly according to the daily requirements,38en Obed-Edom en hulle broers, 68; en Obed-Edom, seun van Jedutun, en Hosa as poortwagters;וְעֹבֵ֥ד אֱדֹ֛ם וַאֲחֵיהֶ֖ם שִׁשִּׁ֣ים וּשְׁמוֹנָ֑ה וְעֹבֵ֨ד אֱדֹ֧ם בֶּן־יְדִית֛וּן וְחֹסָ֖ה לְשֹׁעֲרִֽים׃along with Obed-edom and his sixty-eight relatives. Obed-edom son of Jeduthun, and also Hosah, were to be gatekeepers.39en Sadok, die priester, en sy broers, die priesters, voor die tabernakel van die HERE op die offerhoogte wat in Gibeon is,וְאֵ֣ת׀ צָד֣וֹק הַכֹּהֵ֗ן וְאֶחָיו֙ הַכֹּ֣הֲנִ֔ים לִפְנֵ֖י מִשְׁכַּ֣ן יְהוָ֑ה בַּבָּמָ֖ה אֲשֶׁ֥ר בְּגִבְעֽוֹן׃And David left Zadok the priest and his fellow priests before the tabernacle of the LORD at the high place in Gibeon40om gedurig, oggend en aand, brandoffers vir die HERE op te offer op die altaar van die brandoffer, en volgens alles wat geskrywe is in die wet van die HERE wat Hy oor Israel beveel het.לְֽהַעֲלוֹת֩ עֹל֨וֹת לַיהוָ֜ה עַל־מִזְבַּ֧ח הָעֹלָ֛ה תָּמִ֖יד לַבֹּ֣קֶר וְלָעָ֑רֶב וּלְכָל־הַכָּתוּב֙ בְּתוֹרַ֣ת יְהוָ֔ה אֲשֶׁ֥ר צִוָּ֖ה עַל־יִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃to regularly present burnt offerings to the LORD on the altar of burnt offerings, morning and evening, according to all that was written in the Law of the LORD, which He had commanded Israel to keep.41En saam met hulle Heman en Jedutun en die res van die uitgesoektes wat by name aangewys is, om die HERE te loof, want Sy troue liefde is vir ewig.וְעִמָּהֶם֙ הֵימָ֣ן וִֽידוּת֔וּן וּשְׁאָר֙ הַבְּרוּרִ֔ים אֲשֶׁ֥ר נִקְּב֖וּ בְּשֵׁמ֑וֹת לְהֹדוֹת֙ לַֽיהוָ֔ה כִּ֥י לְעוֹלָ֖ם חַסְדּֽוֹ׃With them were Heman, Jeduthun, and the rest of those chosen and designated by name to give thanks to the LORD, for “His loving devotion endures forever.”42En saam met hulle was Heman en Jedutun, met trompette en simbale vir dié wat dit laat hoor, en met instrumente van die lied van God; en die seuns van Jedutun was by die poort.וְעִמָּהֶם֩ הֵימָ֨ן וִֽידוּת֜וּן חֲצֹצְר֤וֹת וּמְצִלְתַּ֨יִם֙ לְמַשְׁמִיעִ֔ים וּכְלֵ֖י שִׁ֣יר הָאֱלֹהִ֑ים וּבְנֵ֥י יְדוּת֖וּן לַשָּֽׁעַר׃Heman and Jeduthun had with them trumpets and cymbals for the music and instruments for the songs of God. And the sons of Jeduthun were stationed at the gate.
43Toe het die hele volk gegaan, elkeen na sy huis, en Dawid het omgedraai om sy huis te seën.וַיֵּלְכ֥וּ כָל־הָעָ֖ם אִ֣ישׁ לְבֵית֑וֹ וַיִּסֹּ֥ב דָּוִ֖יד לְבָרֵ֥ךְ אֶת־בֵּיתֽוֹ׃ פThen all the people departed for their homes, and David returned home to bless his household.
