1En die HERE het met Moses gepraat en gesê:וַיְדַבֵּ֥ר יְהוָ֖ה אֶל־מֹשֶׁ֥ה לֵּאמֹֽר׃Then the LORD said to Moses,2“Praat met Aäron en met sy seuns en met al die Israeliete en sê vir hulle: ‘Dit is die woord wat die HERE beveel het deur te sê:דַּבֵּ֨ר אֶֽל־אַהֲרֹ֜ן וְאֶל־בָּנָ֗יו וְאֶל֙ כָּל־בְּנֵ֣י יִשְׂרָאֵ֔ל וְאָמַרְתָּ֖ אֲלֵיהֶ֑ם זֶ֣ה הַדָּבָ֔ר אֲשֶׁר־צִוָּ֥ה יְהוָ֖ה לֵאמֹֽר׃“Speak to Aaron, his sons, and all the Israelites and tell them this is what the LORD has commanded:
3Elkeen uit die huis van Israel wat in die kamp 'n os of 'n lam of 'n bok slag, of wat dit buite die kamp slag,aLetterlik: Man, man uit die huis van Israel.אִ֥ישׁ אִישׁ֙ מִבֵּ֣ית יִשְׂרָאֵ֔ל אֲשֶׁ֨ר יִשְׁחַ֜ט שׁ֥וֹר אוֹ־כֶ֛שֶׂב אוֹ־עֵ֖ז בַּֽמַּחֲנֶ֑ה א֚וֹ אֲשֶׁ֣ר יִשְׁחַ֔ט מִח֖וּץ לַֽמַּחֲנֶֽה׃‘Anyone from the house of Israel who slaughters an ox, a lamb, or a goat in the camp or outside of it4en dit nie by die ingang van die tent van samekoms bring om dit as offergawe aan die HERE te bring voor die tabernakel van die HERE nie, aan daardie man sal bloed toegereken word: bloed het hy vergiet, en daardie man sal uit die midde van sy volk afgesny word.וְאֶל־פֶּ֜תַח אֹ֣הֶל מוֹעֵד֮ לֹ֣א הֱבִיאוֹ֒ לְהַקְרִ֤יב קָרְבָּן֙ לַֽיהוָ֔ה לִפְנֵ֖י מִשְׁכַּ֣ן יְהוָ֑ה דָּ֣ם יֵחָשֵׁ֞ב לָאִ֤ישׁ הַהוּא֙ דָּ֣ם שָׁפָ֔ךְ וְנִכְרַ֛ת הָאִ֥ישׁ הַה֖וּא מִקֶּ֥רֶב עַמּֽוֹ׃instead of bringing it to the entrance to the Tent of Meeting to present it as an offering to the LORD before His tabernacle—that man shall incur bloodguilt. This will be a permanent statute for them for the generations to come.’
8En vir hulle moet jy sê: ‘Elkeen uit die huis van Israel en uit die vreemdelinge wat as vreemdeling in hulle midde woon, wat 'n brandoffer of 'n slagoffer laat opgaan,וַאֲלֵהֶ֣ם תֹּאמַ֔ר אִ֥ישׁ אִישׁ֙ מִבֵּ֣ית יִשְׂרָאֵ֔ל וּמִן־הַגֵּ֖ר אֲשֶׁר־יָג֣וּר בְּתוֹכָ֑ם אֲשֶׁר־יַעֲלֶ֥ה עֹלָ֖ה אוֹ־זָֽבַח׃Tell them that if anyone from the house of Israel or any foreigner living among them offers a burnt offering or a sacrifice9en dit nie by die ingang van die tent van samekoms bring om dit vir die HERE te doen nie, daardie man sal uit sy volke afgesny word.’וְאֶל־פֶּ֜תַח אֹ֤הֶל מוֹעֵד֙ לֹ֣א יְבִיאֶ֔נּוּ לַעֲשׂ֥וֹת אֹת֖וֹ לַיהוָ֑ה וְנִכְרַ֛ת הָאִ֥ישׁ הַה֖וּא מֵעַמָּֽיו׃but does not bring it to the entrance to the Tent of Meeting to sacrifice it to the LORD, that man must be cut off from his people.
10En elkeen uit die huis van Israel en uit die vreemdelinge wat onder hulle as vreemdeling woon, wat enige bloed eet — Ek sal My aangesig rig teen die persoon wat die bloed eet, en Ek sal hom uit die midde van sy volk afsny.וְאִ֨ישׁ אִ֜ישׁ מִבֵּ֣ית יִשְׂרָאֵ֗ל וּמִן־הַגֵּר֙ הַגָּ֣ר בְּתוֹכָ֔ם אֲשֶׁ֥ר יֹאכַ֖ל כָּל־דָּ֑ם וְנָתַתִּ֣י פָנַ֗י בַּנֶּ֨פֶשׁ֙ הָאֹכֶ֣לֶת אֶת־הַדָּ֔ם וְהִכְרַתִּ֥י אֹתָ֖הּ מִקֶּ֥רֶב עַמָּֽהּ׃If anyone from the house of Israel or a foreigner living among them eats any blood, I will set My face against that person and cut him off from among his people.11Want die lewe van die vlees is in die bloed, en Ek het dit vir julle op die altaar gegee om versoening te doen vir julle lewens; want dit is die bloed wat deur die lewe versoening doen.aOf: want dit is die bloed wat as die lewe versoening doen.כִּ֣י נֶ֣פֶשׁ הַבָּשָׂר֮ בַּדָּ֣ם הִוא֒ וַאֲנִ֞י נְתַתִּ֤יו לָכֶם֙ עַל־הַמִּזְבֵּ֔חַ לְכַפֵּ֖ר עַל־נַפְשֹׁתֵיכֶ֑ם כִּֽי־הַדָּ֥ם ה֖וּא בַּנֶּ֥פֶשׁ יְכַפֵּֽר׃For the life of the flesh is in the blood, and I have given it to you to make atonement for your souls upon the altar; for it is the blood that makes atonement for the soul.12Daarom het Ek vir die Israeliete gesê: Geen persoon onder julle mag bloed eet nie, en die vreemdeling wat onder julle as vreemdeling woon, mag nie bloed eet nie.עַל־כֵּ֤ן אָמַ֨רְתִּי֙ לִבְנֵ֣י יִשְׂרָאֵ֔ל כָּל־נֶ֥פֶשׁ מִכֶּ֖ם לֹא־תֹ֣אכַל דָּ֑ם וְהַגֵּ֛ר הַגָּ֥ר בְּתוֹכְכֶ֖ם לֹא־יֹ֥אכַל דָּֽם׃ סTherefore I say to the Israelites, ‘None of you may eat blood, nor may any foreigner living among you eat blood.’
13En elkeen uit die Israeliete en uit die vreemdelinge wat as vreemdeling in hulle midde woon, wat 'n wilde dier of 'n voël jag wat geëet mag word, moet sy bloed uitgiet en dit met stof bedek.וְאִ֨ישׁ אִ֜ישׁ מִבְּנֵ֣י יִשְׂרָאֵ֗ל וּמִן־הַגֵּר֙ הַגָּ֣ר בְּתוֹכָ֔ם אֲשֶׁ֨ר יָצ֜וּד צֵ֥יד חַיָּ֛ה אוֹ־ע֖וֹף אֲשֶׁ֣ר יֵאָכֵ֑ל וְשָׁפַךְ֙ אֶת־דָּמ֔וֹ וְכִסָּ֖הוּ בֶּעָפָֽר׃And if any Israelite or foreigner living among them hunts down a wild animal or bird that may be eaten, he must drain its blood and cover it with dirt.14Want die lewe van alle vlees is sy bloed; dit is in sy lewe. En Ek het vir die Israeliete gesê: “Julle mag nie die bloed van enige vlees eet nie, want die lewe van alle vlees is sy bloed; almal wat dit eet, sal afgesny word.”aHebreeus onduidelik.כִּֽי־נֶ֣פֶשׁ כָּל־בָּשָׂ֗ר דָּמ֣וֹ בְנַפְשׁוֹ֮ הוּא֒ וָֽאֹמַר֙ לִבְנֵ֣י יִשְׂרָאֵ֔ל דַּ֥ם כָּל־בָּשָׂ֖ר לֹ֣א תֹאכֵ֑לוּ כִּ֣י נֶ֤פֶשׁ כָּל־בָּשָׂר֙ דָּמ֣וֹ הִ֔וא כָּל־אֹכְלָ֖יו יִכָּרֵֽת׃For the life of all flesh is its blood. Therefore I have told the Israelites, ‘You must not eat the blood of any living thing, because the life of all flesh is its blood; whoever eats it must be cut off.’
15En elke persoon wat ’n aas of ’n verskeurde dier eet, hetsy burger of vreemdeling, moet sy klere was en hom in water was, en hy is onrein tot die aand; dan is hy rein.וְכָל־נֶ֗פֶשׁ אֲשֶׁ֨ר תֹּאכַ֤ל נְבֵלָה֙ וּטְרֵפָ֔ה בָּאֶזְרָ֖ח וּבַגֵּ֑ר וְכִבֶּ֨ס בְּגָדָ֜יו וְרָחַ֥ץ בַּמַּ֛יִם וְטָמֵ֥א עַד־הָעֶ֖רֶב וְטָהֵֽר׃And any person, whether native or foreigner, who eats anything found dead or mauled by wild beasts must wash his clothes and bathe with water, and he will be unclean until evening; then he will be clean.16Maar as hy dit nie was nie en sy liggaam nie bad nie, dan sal hy sy ongeregtigheid dra.’”וְאִם֙ לֹ֣א יְכַבֵּ֔ס וּבְשָׂר֖וֹ לֹ֣א יִרְחָ֑ץ וְנָשָׂ֖א עֲוֺנֽוֹ׃ פBut if he does not wash his clothes and bathe himself, then he shall bear his iniquity.”
