אֱלִיחֹ֧רֶף וַאֲחִיָּ֛ה בְּנֵ֥י שִׁישָׁ֖א סֹפְרִ֑ים יְהוֹשָׁפָ֥ט בֶּן־אֲחִיל֖וּד הַמַּזְכִּֽיר׃Elihoreph and Ahijah, the sons of Shisha, were secretaries; Jehoshaphat son of Ahilud was the recorder; 4en Benaja, die seun van Jojada, oor die leër; en Sadok en Abjatar, priesters;וּבְנָיָ֥הוּ בֶן־יְהוֹיָדָ֖ע עַל־הַצָּבָ֑א וְצָד֥וֹק וְאֶבְיָתָ֖ר כֹּהֲנִֽים׃ סBenaiah son of Jehoiada was in charge of the army; Zadok and Abiathar were priests; 5en Asarja, die seun van Natan, was oor die opsieners; en Sabud, die seun van Natan, was priester, die vriend van die koning;וַעֲזַרְיָ֥הוּ בֶן־נָתָ֖ן עַל־הַנִּצָּבִ֑ים וְזָב֧וּד בֶּן־נָתָ֛ן כֹּהֵ֖ן רֵעֶ֥ה הַמֶּֽלֶךְ׃Azariah son of Nathan was in charge of the governors; Zabud son of Nathan was a priest and adviser to the king; 6en Ahisar oor die huis; en Adoniram, die seun van Abda, oor die dwangarbeid.וַאֲחִישָׁ֖ר עַל־הַבָּ֑יִת וַאֲדֹנִירָ֥ם בֶּן־עַבְדָּ֖א עַל־הַמַּֽס׃ סAhishar was in charge of the palace; and Adoniram son of Abda was in charge of the forced labor.
7En Salomo het twaalf opsieners oor die hele Israel gehad, en hulle het die koning en sy huis versorg; een maand in die jaar het dit op elkeen gerus om te versorg.וְלִשְׁלֹמֹ֞ה שְׁנֵים־עָשָׂ֤ר נִצָּבִים֙ עַל־כָּל־יִשְׂרָאֵ֔ל וְכִלְכְּל֥וּ אֶת־הַמֶּ֖לֶךְ וְאֶת־בֵּית֑וֹ חֹ֧דֶשׁ בַּשָּׁנָ֛ה יִהְיֶ֥ה עַל־לְכַלְכֵּֽל׃ סSolomon had twelve governors over all Israel to provide food for the king and his household. Each one would arrange provisions for one month of the year, 8En dit is hulle name: Ben-Hur in die gebergte van Efraim;וְאֵ֣לֶּה שְׁמוֹתָ֔ם בֶּן־ח֖וּר בְּהַ֥ר אֶפְרָֽיִם׃ סand these were their names: Ben-hur in the hill country of Ephraim; 9Ben-Deker in Makas en in Saälbim en Bet-Semes en Elon-Bet-Hanan;בֶּן־דֶּ֛קֶר בְּמָקַ֥ץ וּבְשַֽׁעַלְבִ֖ים וּבֵ֣ית שָׁ֑מֶשׁ וְאֵיל֖וֹן בֵּ֥ית חָנָֽן׃ סBen-deker in Makaz, in Shaalbim, in Beth-shemesh, and in Elon-beth-hanan; 10Ben-Hesed in Arubbot; aan hom het Sogo en die hele land Hefer behoort;בֶּן־חֶ֖סֶד בָּֽאֲרֻבּ֑וֹת ל֥וֹ שֹׂכֹ֖ה וְכָל־אֶ֥רֶץ חֵֽפֶר׃ סBen-hesed in Arubboth (Socoh and all the land of Hepher belonged to him); 11Ben-Abinadab: die hele hoogland van Dor; Tafat, die dogter van Salomo, was sy vrou;

בֶּן־אֲבִֽינָדָ֖ב כָּל־נָ֣פַת דֹּ֑אר טָפַת֙ בַּת־שְׁלֹמֹ֔ה הָ֥יְתָה לּ֖וֹ לְאִשָּֽׁה׃ סBen-abinadab in Naphath-dor (Taphath, a daughter of Solomon, was his wife); 12Baäna, die seun van Ahilud: Taänak en Megiddo en die hele Bet-Sean wat naby Sartan is, onderkant Jisreël, van Bet-Sean tot by Abel-Mehola, tot anderkant Jokmeam;בַּֽעֲנָא֙ בֶּן־אֲחִיל֔וּד תַּעְנַ֖ךְ וּמְגִדּ֑וֹ וְכָל־בֵּ֣ית שְׁאָ֡ן אֲשֶׁר֩ אֵ֨צֶל צָרְתַ֜נָה מִתַּ֣חַת לְיִזְרְעֶ֗אל מִבֵּ֤ית שְׁאָן֙ עַ֚ד אָבֵ֣ל מְחוֹלָ֔ה עַ֖ד מֵעֵ֥בֶר לְיָקְמֳעָֽם׃ סBaana son of Ahilud in Taanach, in Megiddo, and in all of Beth-shean next to Zarethan below Jezreel, from Beth-shean to Abel-meholah and on past Jokmeam; 13Ben-Geber in Ramot-Gilead; aan hom het Hawwot-Jaïr behoort, van Jaïr die seun van Manasse, wat in Gilead is; aan hom het die streek Argob behoort wat in Basan is, sestig groot stede met 'n muur en 'n grendel van brons;

בֶּן־גֶּ֖בֶר בְּרָמֹ֣ת גִּלְעָ֑ד ל֡וֹ חַוֺּת֩ יָאִ֨יר בֶּן־מְנַשֶּׁ֜ה אֲשֶׁ֣ר בַּגִּלְעָ֗ד ל֚וֹ חֶ֤בֶל אַרְגֹּב֙ אֲשֶׁ֣ר בַּבָּשָׁ֔ן שִׁשִּׁים֙ עָרִ֣ים גְּדֹל֔וֹת חוֹמָ֖ה וּבְרִ֥יחַ נְחֹֽשֶׁת׃ סBen-geber in Ramoth-gilead (the villages of Jair son of Manasseh in Gilead belonged to him, as well as the region of Argob in Bashan with its sixty great cities with walls and bronze bars); 14Ahinadab, die seun van Iddo, in Mahanaim;אֲחִֽינָדָ֥ב בֶּן־עִדֹּ֖א מַחֲנָֽיְמָה׃Ahinadab son of Iddo in Mahanaim; 15Ahimaäs in Naftali; ook hy het Basmat, die dogter van Salomo, as vrou geneem;אֲחִימַ֖עַץ בְּנַפְתָּלִ֑י גַּם־ה֗וּא לָקַ֛ח אֶת־בָּשְׂמַ֥ת בַּת־שְׁלֹמֹ֖ה לְאִשָּֽׁה׃Ahimaaz in Naphtali (he had married Basemath, a daughter of Solomon); 16Baäna, die seun van Husai, in Aser en Bealot;

בַּֽעֲנָא֙ בֶּן־חוּשָׁ֔י בְּאָשֵׁ֖ר וּבְעָלֽוֹת׃ סBaana son of Hushai in Asher and in Aloth; 17Josafat, die seun van Paruag, in Issaskar;יְהוֹשָׁפָ֥ט בֶּן־פָּר֖וּחַ בְּיִשָׂשכָֽר׃ סJehoshaphat son of Paruah in Issachar; 18Simeï, die seun van Ela, in Benjamin;שִׁמְעִ֥י בֶן־אֵלָ֖א בְּבִנְיָמִֽן׃ סShimei son of Ela in Benjamin; 19Geber, die seun van Uri, in die land Gilead, die land van Sihon, die koning van die Amoriete, en van Og, die koning van Basan; en een opsiener wat in die land was.גֶּ֥בֶר בֶּן־אֻרִ֖י בְּאֶ֣רֶץ גִּלְעָ֑ד אֶ֜רֶץ סִיח֣וֹן׀ מֶ֣לֶךְ הָאֱמֹרִ֗י וְעֹג֙ מֶ֣לֶךְ הַבָּשָׁ֔ן וּנְצִ֥יב אֶחָ֖ד אֲשֶׁ֥ר בָּאָֽרֶץ׃Geber son of Uri in the land of Gilead, including the territories of Sihon king of the Amorites and of Og king of Bashan. There was also one governor in the land of Judah.
20Juda en Israel was baie, soos die sand wat by die see is, in menigte; hulle het geëet en gedrink en was bly.יְהוּדָ֤ה וְיִשְׂרָאֵל֙ רַבִּ֔ים כַּח֥וֹל אֲשֶׁר־עַל־הַיָּ֖ם לָרֹ֑ב אֹכְלִ֥ים וְשֹׁתִ֖ים וּשְׂמֵחִֽים׃The people of Judah and Israel were as numerous as the sand on the seashore, and they were eating and drinking and rejoicing.
